Henry Winkler, forever remembered as the iconic “Fonz” from Happy Days, achieved one of television’s greatest honors at the Television Academy’s 27th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony on August 17 at the JW Marriott LA Live in Los Angeles.
But this milestone wasn’t just about career success — it was a family affair. Standing proudly by his side was his wife of nearly 50 years, Stacey Weitzman, along with their children: director Max Winkler, Jed Weitzman and his wife Amanda, and Zoe Winkler Reinis with her husband Rob. The night became a touching reminder that behind Winkler’s decades of brilliance on screen, there has always been unwavering love and support at home.
In one emotional highlight, Winkler was inducted by longtime friend Bob Daly — the very same man whom Winkler inducted into the Hall of Fame just three years earlier. With heartfelt gratitude, Winkler told the audience: “I would not be here at this podium right now if it were not for you.” The moment captured not just the power of his career, but the loyalty and friendships that have defined it.

The ceremony also celebrated other television legends, including Viola Davis, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and the late Don Mischer, placing Winkler among the true giants of the industry.
Later, Winkler shared his feelings with fans, calling it “an overwhelming night.” And it truly was — not just for him, but for everyone who has been touched by his warmth, humor, and timeless presence on television.
After nearly five decades in the spotlight, Henry Winkler’s legacy continues to shine — not only as an actor, but as a husband, father, friend, and one of the most beloved figures in entertainment history. ❤️
